esiting hyperlink style problem

Hi. I am having trouble with the current version with changing the style of the hyperlink, as described in the on-line help. I can add, edit etc a style but if I apply it to a hyperlink it doesnt have any effect. The next time I check the properties it has dropped the new style.

Any suggestions or ideas welcome
