Crop tool gone missing

hello
I place an image on the page.
The crop tool is showing in the top toolbar ribbon.

Once I select Crop the image receives the rectangle to crop the image but the Crop disappears from the top toolbar so it is impossible to do the crop.

Any suggestions

Ah, I see the problem

Without anything being selected in the workspace the menu in the top Ribbon being-- File, Insert, Page, View, Arrange, Tools, Help, have no commands underneath them

As soon as I select something in the workspace the commands show under the Menu such as Crop Etc

Obviously I have selected a switch to turn off the commands under menu.

How do I turn it back on the the Menu and commands underneath are showing all the time.
