Re: Robot.txt
Robots.txt blocking of JavaScript (JS) files might have an adverse effect on SEO and search engine crawl and indexing. Blocking JS files may make it more difficult for search engines to interpret and display your website, which may affect indexing and ranking. Instead, it is advised to permit search engines to access and scan JS files. This will enable them to better comprehend the functionality of your website and enhance overall SEO performance. Use other strategies, such as the "noindex" directive in HTML meta tags or server-side techniques, if blocking sensitive or non-indexable content. You can monitor difficulties with JS files and get alerts if there are issues with indexing or rendering thanks to Google Search Console, which offers insights into how Google sees and crawls your website.
Re: Robot.txt
As far as I know it is not common to block the js folder.
Re: Robot.txt
why you try to do that?! js files never create a bad effect on website. i never see a js file index in google search engine. in other words , js files never load and show in Google search results. you can test that and see, just use "site:yourwebsite.com"amir2314 wrote: ↑Sun Jul 02, 2023 8:22 pm Hi dear pablo

My idea of this was that I thought that some bad bots could compromise the security of the host or my website by accessing Java files. But as it was said and the studies I had, it seems that there is nothing wrong with restricting Java files and it has no effect on the SEO of the website.

OK to block /js/ folder using robots.txt? it is a old response but interesting thought from Google Search Central on this.
