What do you mean by 'index function'?

If you are meaning to remove the page extension index.html or all page extensions that use .html then you will need to configure this on the server in .htaccess

Some times ago I have added "side search" to one of my webpages and I am not able to remove this "side search"-function now. I have removed the function parts from my page but when I publish this page the search index will build up again. Please help me - I do not want to search on this page any more.

Uncheck 'Generate search index' in Tools -> Search Index
