Hello all!
When it comes to master pages, do they need to be published?
Does the master page settings overwrite individual page settings? Like, if i have the master page set to index/follow - will it overwrite an indivudal page set to no index/ no follow?
Thanks!

Re: Master Pages
No. Master pages are combined with the pages at the time of publishing. You don't publish masterpages separately. When it comes to master pages, do they need to be published?
It may. Someone else may be able to confirm this. Unless all the pages using the same master page are to have the exact same settings, then it would make more sense to set them individually for each page.Does the master page settings overwrite individual page settings? Re: Master Pages
Hello everyone!
I saw that WWB is adding AI - pretty exciting!
I see two ways to organize things in the site manager.
I can nest a page(s) below another one.
or
I can create a folder.
Is there a pro/con to choosing one over the other? Is there a pro/con from the SEO perspective?
I noticed that nested pages take on settings of the page it's nested under. At least, that's what it seems like. Or did I do something wrong?

Re: Master Pages
Nesting pages is just for organizing the page in the Site Manager, It does not affect the HTML output or settings.
Using folders also affects the structure of the pages on the server. I doubt that this will have any impact on SEO.

Re: Master Pages
Thank you for the quick response.
What confused me was that when i right clicked the top page that had nested pages under it, and selected an option like "do not publish this page" - all the pages that were nested would change.
Is this a bug?
Re: Master Pages
This is intentional behavior.
