New Instal on Windows 11 Pro.

Post by Magical »

Hi,
Just installed on new laptop. Install went fine, asked for licensing and I gave it the license details. Then it went to restart the application. It starts, shows the splash page, but then shuts down. No error message is displayed. I found the following in Event Viewer:

Usually when the application does not start the this because a firewall or virusscanner blocks it.
Please add webbuilder.exe to the exception list.

Also, it is not clear whether you installed the 64 or 32 bit version.

ucrtbase.dll is not part of WWB.

Found the issue - Here are some of the items to check:
1 - All my objects are on onedrive (cloud) and it takes time for those to download on a new machine. Check the onedrive app for downloads in progress.
2 - For UCRTBase.dll I ran sfc /scannow repteatedly untill it came back clean. This was surprising on a new machine.
3 - Reboot after clean up and pending downloads are complete (I tried restarting Wysiwyg without rebooting and it failed)
4 - Reboot and it worked.
