WB Vs web host website builder?

A friend of mine is planning a site selling Halloween and horror memorabilia. I recommend WB as a bespoke, custom solution. However, he's also considering using a well known web hosting web design tool. What advantages of WB other than being a far more customisable web solution, would you put to him over a web host's design tools?

Just to play the other side for a moment:

If the person who wants it is relatively new to web design and maintenance, then, unless you are prepared to support them, they might be better off with a simple and easy to maintain online system.
