do not show this popup again

I have read through, and understand the information found in the Dialog Explanation Page. I'm hoping for some guidance on "How to implement 'do not show this popup again' functionality?"

In the custom script shown as an example where it is written

privacynotice=true; expires=Fri, 31 Dec 9999 23:59:59 GMT;

with the path following.

If one wants the expiration to be when the browser is closed, or at the end of 24 hours, how would this script be written. What I would like is if a user leaves for the day and comes back the next day, for the cookie notice to appear again.
