Default color is WHITE TEXT, WHY?

Post by QQQ »

Hi,
One thing that has been driving me crazy is DEFAULT WHITE TEXT.
Every time I import a fresh (non-wysiwg) webpage or hit the TEXT tool I always get WHITE
invisible text that I have to pain painstakingly hunt down and change to BLACK everytime.
QUESTION: How can I set the DEFAULT TEXT COLOR TO BE ALWAYS BLACK?

Many Thanks
I am old and need help. When I was your age a calculator was a pen and paper!

You can set the default text color in the page style properties.
Click "Make default' to make it the default for all new pages.

Thanks, that seemed to have worked! Now when I drag out a new TEXT BOX the color is black, SUPER!!!

In 'HOME' tab I went to "PROPERTIES" - 'PAGE PROPERTIES' - 'STYLE' and set 'DEFAULTS' to BLACK,
Does that sound about right?
Question #1: What does the 'ENABLE RESPONSIVE FONTS' check box do???

My Import Improved and all fronts now I have Big text blocks of nice black text AND
they are in one large box now. Before the color change every
line of text would turn into hundreds of single lines. That's an odd side
effect of changing the text color but I'll take every improvement I can get!!!

Question #2: Can you give me a few links to some really good websites that used the
best WYSIWYG has to offer and pulled out all the stops?
I am looking for a real "hotdogged" site for ideas as to how far I can push this software.
I used to be a top notch FLASH/SHOCKWAVE programmer while it was still supported and made CRAZY Good stuff!!!
You clicked a link and a rocket shoot out of the click area with sound and moved accros the page and blew up at the new page, more like a video game. I made sites for Rock bands, and R&B artists that they really loved. Does WYSIWYG have a "tweening" function? God I wish!
There will never be anything like FLASH again, Sad. I sure hope you guys stick around, it seems nothing lasts forever any longer.
21 years of training down the tubes and I am really Pissed Flash and Shock-Wave vanished without a trace.
I picked you since your software had many of the tricks my customer base wanted.

Question #3; What is the best YT channel with video tutorials of WYSIWYG?
Many thanks

Ah the days of Flash. Although dead and buried you can now visually do the same with css animation which is a whole new learning curve.
See the following examples. Note I did not create these but they show what can be done.

Optimus Prime Toggle with CSS Transform 👀😅 [cpc-toggles]

Rocket Launch (CSS & GSAP)

Like yourself loved Flash but used the following more Macromedia Fireworks, Macromedia Director (credited).

Once apon a time there was Google Swiffy but was closed in 2016 and is no longer available. There are a few others such as OpenFL, Google Web Designer both (free) and finally Adobe Animate CC (subscription based). Each had there own Pros and Cons I can't personally say what is as I don't use any of them so it will be a matter of trial and error for you to decide if they are suitable.
