Create custom (original design) Dividers

Hello, dear WWB users!

I need to create custom (original design) and simple, straight line (which can be adjusted in thickness and color) Dividers that I would like to apply to the Layout Grid (in horizontal and vertical orientation).
I tried to modify the Divider available in the system folder, bringing it to a simple, straight line (by removing anchor points) using Adobe Illustrator. However, the Divider I created is not displayed in the preview. Obviously I did something wrong. Perhaps I did not make the necessary settings in Illustrator when saving the svg file ...
Please tell me the mechanism, software tools, settings for saving the svg file Divider, with which you can create your own Dividers.
