Login Tools - Edit Profile

Post by Rory »

Hi, I am creating a password protected wholesale page on my website with login tools (not MYSQL). In the profile of each account member I would like to add more information like business address, phone number, VAT number etc. My question is this - is it possible that in the 'sign up' form I can add these fields and they would automatically be added to the account profile? The account user can then see and edit their information on the 'edit account' page. Would these extra fields also then be visible automatically in 'Admin'? I'm a little confused how an account profile is created with extra fields automatically - if at all possible.

Thank you in advance for any help with this.

You cannot directly add fields to the signup but it is possible to convert the login form by doing the following (right click and select 'convert to form') this will then change to a standard form and then modify it to suit your needs.
Also see the following;

You can also add "custom profile fields"

Great! Thank you for your help. So, if I understand correctly, I can add 'Custom Profile fields' to the 'sign up' form and these will be visible in the 'admin'? Would they also be visible in the 'edit account' , or would I have to create the same 'custom profile fields' in the 'edit account'.

I am not knowledgeable with MYSQL and converting to form, so would like to avoid that if possible, before attempting such a learning curve. Thank you.

If you click 'Apply to All' then the custom profile fields will be applied to all login tools in the project.

Note that some features are only supported for MYSQL. This is also documented in the help.
