Hyperlink Text Changing Size (Ok in Preview) SOLVED

Post by onlye »

https://circuitclerkmarioncountyms.com/ballots.html

I just added two new sample ballots. No matter what I do the second one - General Election displays much smaller than in preview or the Special Election above. They both should be the same format.

They are in separate layout grids. The text formatting looks the same (I tried copying the first, deleted, and created from scratch) Neither one is using any special link format. Tested in multiple browsers.

So simple, it is driving me crazy. Ideas?

I can see that there is a different font size and line-height for both. It's hard to say from just the generated code. Do you have a demo project to share?

There seems to be some character/hidden character/gremlin in the 2nd link text that is size 10. To fix it, simply double click on the text object, click control-A to select all the text (you will see that the text size changes to 10) and then just select 18 in the drop down. This will essentially reset everything back to size 18.

Thanks, Crispy. That was it. There was a space at the end of the line that was 10pt. Weird. I could not delete the 10pt character. I did like you suggested and it is good.

That solved my problem with Link text appearing in the wrong size, which I assumed was something to do with the Link format - until I found your post. Thanks again

As it turns out the text object in Wizzy is not the only place the little hidden buggers have caused me problems. I have had issues with customers doing updates via editable content as well as html editors from some of the PHPJabbers scripts. Crispy's Ctrl-A has been the answer every time.
