Image Converter increases file size
Some images increase in file size. I only ask it to reduce file size to the smallest (9). Will the converter handle files that are not named "correctly"?

No, this has nothing to do with the file names.
There can be several reason for an image to get larger.
For example, if you convert to a different file type jpg to png. png stores extra (transparency) data.
This is not specific to the image converter of WWB. This is just a tool make it easier to convert files. the actual conversion is done by the WIC codecs on your systems.

Thanks for the info... Eventually I went to the WWB media directory and did a batch W11 resize. All good
