Hi Pablo ..
Using WWB v21.0.2 (Mar 27 2026)
Having issue with Google Font INTER
OPTIONS > FONTS >
My settings ...
Do not use @font-face
Checked for missing Google fonts when loading a project (enabled)
Host Google Font locally for better performance and privacy (enabled)
When I click Launch Google Font's Manager I see INTER in the list
But I notice in my local folder where I publish the site is no mention of INTER font.
After FTP to server, viewing website on PC all looks well (and Chrome WhatFont extension indicates INTER is being used), but on iPad or iPhone the font doesn't show.
ChatGTP says iPad and iPhone require woff2 format??
It gave me this code to manually add between <header></header> and this works
<link rel="stylesheet" href="https://fonts.googleapis.com/css2?famil ... splay=swap">
But I have to add this to each page of my project.
Not sure if this a software fix? ... Or something I am missing.
Thanks .. really like v21 so far!! You are very good at what you do!

Re: Google font application
If you are using a Google font, you don't need to add the code manually. If you look at the code generated for the index page you will see this in the <head> section:
The font family will be defined either in the html page inline or in a separate CSS filed depending on your settings in WB.
Code: Select all
<link href="https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Inter:400&subset=latin&display=swap" rel="stylesheet">-

Re: Google font application
Hi crispy68 .. thanks for the reply
For whatever reason the coding you mention is not being created by publishing the index file
I have made 2 pages with only a bit of text on them .. easier to review the source coding.
Without add-on ChatGPT coding .. does not show correctly on iPad
www.moranfinancial.ca/font-test/index.html
WITH ChatGT coding .. shows correctly on iPad / iPhone
www.moranfinancial.ca/font-test/index1.html
HMMM ...

Re: Google font application
Can you upload a demo project file so we can download it and see your settings? It's working just fine for me so I'm unable to reproduce what you're seeing.

Re: Google font application
Are you sure you have the font "Inter" listed in your Google fonts manager? When you click on Google fonts manager, make sure that the font is actually in the list. Maybe try removing and readding it? When I removed it from my list then I get the same results you are getting.

Here ya go ..
www.moranfinancial.ca/font-test/font-test.zip
Zip Also contains
- screen grab for my OPTIONS > FONTS section
- screen grab of my local folder showing fonts in woff2 and tiff
Also note this appears to be an issue with only the Google Font INTER ?? https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Inter

Re: Google font application
When I load your project file, the font is set to Arial and not Inter. When I select the text, switch it to Inter and preview, it looks correct and the code is generated properly. I have no issues with the font itself

Re: Google font application
Hi crispy68 ..
Yes.. on a PC the WWB local PREVIEW and then browser pulling from server display fonts correctly.
The issue is viewing on iPad / iPhone (iOS)
Do you have iPad or iPhone and did you look on those devices? It appears to be a iOS issue and ChatGPT is indicating it is a woff2 issue .. iOS requires this for whatever reason but WWB 21 is not creating the woff2 file for INTER
Here is last test .. www.moranfinancial.ca/font-test/index6.html
I have INTER, OPEN SANS, PLAYFAIR DISPLAY, OSWALD on this simple page (no other content)
Open Sans, Playfair Display, Oswald all produce woff2 files when publishing into local folder.
And these respective woff2 files MUST be uploaded to server for these fonts to display correctly on my iPad / iPhone
Open-Sans-subset0.woff2
Oswald-subset0.woff2
Playfair-Display-subset0.woff2
INTER does not produce this woff2 file.
Also, within the index file source code, the coding you offered earlier is not listed:
<link href="https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family ... splay=swap" rel="stylesheet">
Sorry to be a pain ... sure appreciate your input.
I am thinking there is a conflict with INTER and WWB 21 .. just not sure if this is a valid observation .. maybe Pable can review this thread also.

Re: Google font application
You do not need to upload any font files manually. The fonts are loaded directly from Google's servers. WWB only adds a reference that instructs the browser to use these fonts.
I downloaded your test project, but it appears that the Inter font has not been applied to the text. When I open the project, the text is displayed in Arial.
After applying the Inter font to the text, everything works as expected.
Note:
Another user recently experienced a similar font issue which turned out to be related to an outdated version of richedit (a system file). After installing a more recent version of richedit, the problem was resolved.

Also note that, from WWB's point of view, all fonts are treated the same. It does not handle different fonts in different ways.
