Post by keydog »

I made a couple new pages and the program doesnt save any changes lost 2 days of work once I shut the program down, and yes I did click the save button

also when I published whole site to update navigation lots of pictures came off the site,
these pictures still show up in preview locally on my machine, but dont change in the live view when i replublish

here are a couple of the pages where the picture from the light boxes dissapeared

Where do we need to look! what images are missing (name, item no in the lightbox) do we have to scroll and click on every image to check that they open in the lightbox?. What lightbox did you use?.Did you republish all files again?.
Did you not save the .wbs to your server when uploading the changes?. Have you not set to save periodically in the program (automatically). Working with Projects (.wbs) Read from Backing up projects

i think I have it worked out

I had been manually saving compies of my site on secondary drives, I delive I opened one of the files that wasnt updated by mistake
I have to work on this more this afternoon

when you open the program and choose a file to open, in that section is a list of project files recently used (upper left) , can this list be changed, take off project files not being used

I dont think this has anything to do with the software as the two previous urls seem to be working. It may be a issue on your server relating to image upload and how many. Also see the following on naming convention so that they are web safe How do I name my pages, images and other files?

Previous links

Uploading to the forum is disabled for security reasons. You can use the following url https://imgbb.com/ or simply just upload the screenshot to your own server and post the link/url here in the forum.

This is what I was told and have used myself, just delete any no longer required to be shown in list.
As always back up the registry before making any changes.

The file names are stored in the registry

If you need further assistance then please describe exactly what you have done and where is stops working for you.
Your website has so many pages and images that there is no way for us to tell what has been changed, or where we need to look for a problem.
Please try to be more specific.

@Pablo if you look at this screenshot you will notice white lines with text below. The lines are actually the thumbnails of the slimbox and on click of them the larger image opens in the lightbox (slimbox). From trying to view the source it is near impossible to fathom out as there is so much. I think this calls/requires a very basic demo to work out what is wrong.

The images are corrupt, they do not even load in the browser

Maybe your website space is full, so the file cannot be uploaded?
Are there any errors in the publish log?

Yes

A small change can increase the size of the website. for example because extra files are uploaded.
The fact is, that the file is corrupt. So something goes wrong during publishing.

I need more information to be able to help you.
Set the log level to 'all' and republish the page. Then share the log
