Inserting a LOT of Text?
I wrote a book a year ago, and I want to offer a sample chapter on my website. Of course, approx. 7 pages of A4 is not acceptable, so is it possible to create a 'pop-up' for the PDF Chapter to be inserted that can open or run like a video?
Never complain about getting old, the alternative is far worse!

Re: Inserting a LOT of Text?
Popups with PDF may not be reliable because it assumes the browser has built-in support for PDF, which is not always the case.
So, it may better to provide a download link to the PDF instead.

Re: Inserting a LOT of Text?
In reality 7 pages of A4 is nothing compared to the large blogs we see now a days. Many people use website directly to show documentation, installation guide, manuals directly on websites with hundreds and thousands of pages.Trugmaker wrote: Mon Aug 31, 2026 12:49 pm I wrote a book a year ago, and I want to offer a sample chapter on my website. You can do the designing more beautifully and it would be responsive for both desktop and mobile. It would be searchable and easily updateable. If 5 page-sections can be combined to a landing page then 7 page is nothing much inside a website as a sample chapter.
That is just from my perspective.
PDFS are best for quick document export and distribution or for printing like as you have mentioned the word "Book".

Re: Inserting a LOT of Text?
Perhaps this would be a simple method of just displaying the seven pages in text rather than having it in a pdf pop up. This would allow it to look like a book to be read then you can use a link to download the pdf itself.
