New Online Polling Site

Post by jdd99 »

Hello everyone!

I am a retired IT professional and decided to learn new technologies. So I used WWB to create my very first website. Not having a lot of web developement experience, I really need feedback on this one. I also need users since the more people use the site, the more useful it becomes.
I know the UI probably needs work but also provide me feedback on how to improve appeal and effectiveness of the site. I need to determine if it can be successful and useful or shut it down and move on.

Thank you all.

Interesting site.

Do you need to have an account to respond to a survey? If not, I can't see how to do that (I only checked the aliens one).

Alan, yes, you do need an account. The Welcome line under the banner and the Quick Links mention that so I'm glad your're asking because that tells me it's not obvious enough. Registration does not ask for private info like phone# or adrress or any payment, and you can use any nickname you want. I didn't want privacy risks.

OK. For me, responding to a poll should not need a login. Maybe select/enter a name, but not an account. Creating a poll, yes, I can see the need for an account.
